Hey everyone, I'm really nervous at the moment because I've just been prescribed Sertraline (for depression) and one of the side effects is nausea and vomiting.
I'm emetophobic and I'm so scared. I'm now reluctant to try them.
I did some googling and found a forum full of people saying they had nauses and vomiting and dry heaving. And now I'm so scared, I don't want any of this to happen to me!
I was thinking I'd take the first one on Monday night, because then I have Tuesday and Wednesday free (I'm at university), but then I really need to go into classes on Thursday!
I know that if I think about it I'll probably make it worse. Ergh, I whsi I'd never have visited that forum.
So, basically what I'm asking is has anyone taken Sertraline (Zoloft or Lustral), what side effects have you had?

My doc just cut my ambien prescription in half. I'm experiencing the worst anxiety and can barely sleep... Does anyone know who...how... where i can buy some ambien ?? All of the websites I have looked at look like scams :(

| Stronger than Xanax? |

So, I was prescribed .5mg of Xanax for night time anxiety. I also have trouble sleeping. I always take two .5mg Xanax along with two sleep aids. Never had a problem, slept through the night.
Over the past few months, I just can't stay asleep. Falling asleep, no problem. But then I'm up at 3am. Still groggy, but can't fall back asleep.
I've taken higher doses of Xanax (2mg w/2 sleep aids and melatonin): still woke up.
Tried Lunesta with Xanax: still woke up.
Should I try something stronger than Xanax? Or if Xanax really isn't the issue, can someone recommend something that could possibly just keep me asleep? This is driving me crazy.

I'm trying to get off everything. It would be very easy if my mom wasn't on it too because I have no connections at all besides her. She gets two prescriptions a month and we are codependent. I only take at most 8 a day so I don't really think I'm that bad, but I want to get off the pain pills for good. I'm in school right now, and the pills help me through it. I graduate in November so I plan to get clean for good then.
The only problem is I have no way to pay for rehab. Is there anyway I can get help with that?

i'm supposed to start taking 25mg effexor every day for anxiety and depression. i've been told you can have seizures/strokes/etc from smoking weed while taking effexor due to serotonin syndrome. i've smoked on just about every other antidepressant in existence, and the only "side effect" was that i couldn't get stoned no matter how much i smoked. don't know if this matters, but i'm 5'2/105lbs, so antidepressants (but for some reason not weed or sedatives) seem to always have much stronger side effects on me than others.
question basically= is it ok to smoke weed while taking effexor? this will be the first time i take it.
i'm also on 5mg xanax daily (yes, 5mg, that is not a typo) and neither my doctor nor the people at the pharmacy said this would be a problem while taking effexor, but personally i think it seems kind of weird/potentionally bad? any thoughts on that? and im already aware being on that much xanax daily is horrible, i am trying to get off it, which is why i want to try the effexor, since it's not physically addictive/could potentially work so i'm able to taper off the xanax without having to do detox (which i can't afford).

should i do it? i am terrified of trying medication because of the side effects. please give me a review, advice, or something.

This is a weird question but I'm wondering if any of you know of links to pill sites that show what certain medications looked like years ago and their bottles.
I'm writing a part of my book where the Dad needs a Bayer Aspirin and I don't know if what the bottles look like has changed from 10 years ago and can't seem to find it anywhere. It sounds little but it's the climax of the novel cause his son accidentally gives him something else and I want to see whether or not the bottles would look vaguely similar.
It's a shot in the dark but if anybody knows this or what the bottle looked like it'd be helpful. Thank you!

I take adderall pretty much everyday and cannot sleep at night as a result. I've been taking melatonin and it never works. Does anyone know if there are sleeping pills that can be taken safely with adderall that really knock you out?

I'm currently prescribed a pretty low dose of 40mg vyvanse. I've taken more than one a day but there's always been several hours inbetween. Since it's extended release, I wasnt sure if there'd be a sizeable difference in effects if I took more pills at the same time. Would it still wear off after 10 hours or last longer? Any input is appreciated X-posted

If you do a lot of Vicodin, or other pain meds that have acetaminophen in them, you might keep in mind that according to the FDA acetaminophen overdoses send an estimated 56,000 people to the emergency room each year. They made a recommendation yesterday that the maximum dose be lowered from the current 8 pills a day, which is just below levels that can cause potentially fatal liver injury. And 8 pills, or 4 grams, a day isn't a lot...
I felt so crappy yesterday from doing Loricet over the weekend I had to resort to getting some methdone so I'd feel better. It doesn't mess with my liver like the aceteminophen does so I can convales the next few days and give myself a chance to recover without suffering.

So here's the thing. I've been going to a therapist and a psychiatrist for two years. Since then I have;; gotten on/off Prozac, gotten on Effexor, switched to Effexor RX, and now take Trazadone. So not too many meds. But the thing is, I'm starting to realize I have ADD. I can't focus in class, I constantly get in trouble for asking random questions/talking about random topics, I can't remember things when it comes to a test, ect. And now I do want to try Adderall, for serious reasons. Sure, the whole loosing weight thing/speeding things up would be nice, but I do want the meds for serious reasons.
The problem is, this doc thinks I'm okay, and hasn't seen any ADD symptons in me [since I am always calm and quiet in her office]. So how do I convince her/show her I need Adderall?

Yesterday I was diagnosed with PTSD and given generic Ativan, dissovable lorepam tablets, 1mg. I thought I'd gotten super lucky.
before i was diagnosed, i used to LOVE xanax, and i would take my kolonopin or anxiety
so here's the deal, why isnt the ativan making me feel good?
the biggest issue that i get major nausea after letting an ativan dissolve under my tounge, then i feel like i need rest
what is the difference (from experience) between xanax and ativan?
could i call the doctor who just diagnosed my PTSD and ask for xanax? that douns bad, right?
what to do...?
